Australian Rules Football or AFL dates back to 1858 when the first rules of the code were recorded in Melbourne. It is a game played with an oval football with 2 teams of 18 players plus 4 interchange players. Juniors and seniors who play the sport both professionally and socially enjoy receiving an AFL trophy or AFL award at the end of the season. Medallions with ribbons or in presentation boxes can also be presented having been engraved with the recipient’s name and position. To encourage the young players in the game of Australian Rules Football, clubs can present Player of the Match trophies, Players Player trophies, Most Improved trophies and Best and Fairest trophies to those who have played the game well during the season.
